Halloween Sensory Bin

Halloween Sensory Bin

Halloween is the perfect excuse to create a sensory bin for your kids. The options are endless; orange-dyed rice, cooked spaghetti, orange and black pom poms, or even JELLO! You can adapt this sensory bin for any holiday or occasion but I find it to be extra fun for Halloween.

Here's what you need:

  • Bin
  • Large Box of Orange Jello
  • Water
  • All things creepy and crawly!

Start by making your Jello according to the package directions. I recommend using the quick set method.

Place your Jello into the fridge until it is just about set, around one hour, depending on which method you used.

Begin adding all of your creepy, crawly items. I used plastic spiders, fake fingers, and skeletons! Place it back in the fridge for another 30 minutes to an hour or until it is completely set.

Remove it from the fridge when you are ready to play!

Your kids will love using tweezers, spoons, and grabbers to dig and explore in the Jello!

TIP: Make each kid their separate bin. It will lose shape quickly as they start to play and explore.
