Bunny Car: Easter Treat for Kids to Make

It is close to Easter and you're browsing the grocery store aisles when you spot the hard-to-miss, pastel colored, bunny shaped marshmallows. Peeps: You either hate them or love them. This cute treat is quick, easy, and great for kids to make on their own! They will love turning a classic Twinkie into a car driven by a bunny.

Here is what you will need:

  • Twinkies
  • Mini Oreos
  • Bunny Peeps
  • Yogurt or Chocolate Covered Pretzels
  • White Frosting

Start by cutting a square-shaped piece of out of your Twinkie. This will be your bunny's seat. The easiest way to do this is to cut two lines down about an inch apart. Then move your butter knife from one cut to the other to scrape out the middle. Be sure to not cut all the way through.

Place a dot of frosting on the bottom of your Peep before placing it in the "seat".

Place a dot of frosting on the top side of the pretzel. This will be the steering wheel. Place it in front of the bunny. You may need to press down gently on both the Peep and the pretzel to help them stay in place.

Here is what your car should look like so far!

Now it's time to add the wheels. Open two Mini Oreo sandwiches.

Place a dot of frosting on each piece before placing it on your Twinkie.

Your bunny is ready to go cruising! Use your bunny car as a table decoration for Easter or enjoy it as a treat.
