Recipes for Kids: Halloween Hand Pies

This recipe is quick and easy making it the perfect one to make with kids. You can change the cookie cutter shape to go with any holiday or theme. Top if off by choosing your favorite filling!

Here is what you need:

  • Premade Pie Crust
  • Nutella - or your favorite fruit filling or spread
  • Melted Butter
  • Cinnamon
  • Knife
  • Cookie Cutter

Start by thawing your pie crust according to the package directions. Lightly roll out your pie crust.

Take your cookie cutter and cut an even amount of shapes from the crust.

Begin spreading your filling on half of the shapes. TIP: Do not spread your filling all the way to the edge of the dough.

If you are making a jack-o-lantern pie, cut triangles into your pumpkins to form a face.

Place one half of the shapes onto the other half as seen below.

Take a fork and lightly seal the edges of the dough.

Bake your pies according to the package directions. Keep an eye on them!

Let them cool slightly before brushing them lightly with butter.

Sprinkle them with a cinnamon sugar mixture. Tap off the excess. Enjoy!
